Maroons finish 0-3 at Wabash Valley Classic
Close losses have been a theme for much of the season for Robinson High School's boys' basketball team and that trend continued over the weekend at the First Financial Wabash Valley Classic in Terre Haute.

After losing their opening game Thursday by three points, the Maroons suffered losses by two and six over the weekend to finish 0-3.

"We come over here to play different people and see different things so it will help us in the postseason," RHS head coach Mack Thompson said. "We are learning and growing from everything and hopefully we'll continue to get better."

Panthers go 0-4 at Dieterich, finish 8th
Wins continue to elude Oblong High School's boys' basketball team, but the way the Panthers finished up their run at the Dieterich Holiday Tournament, there is hope that some could be coming soon.

While the Panthers dropped all three of their pool play games in lopsided fashion, Oblong played their best game of the season in the seventh-place game Saturday (Dec. 28), only to still come up short.

Maroons fall short to S. Vermillion, 47-44
Executing plays down the stretch has proved difficult for Robinson High School's boys' basketball team at times this season and it bit the Maroons again Thursday morning (Dec. 26).

The Maroons gave themselves a chance to win their opening round game at the First Financial Wabash Valley Classic in Terre Haute, but were unable to finish the deal and suffered a 47-44 loss to South Vermillion.

"We had our opportunities," RHS head coach Mack Thompson said. "We've got to get better at executing end of quarter and end of game stuff."
