Red Hill Invite Champs
Palestine-Hutsonville's boys' track team earned a share of the Red Hill Invitational championship Wednesday, as they won eight events and scored 135 points to tie with Red Hill for first place in the six-team event.

RHS 3rd, PH 4th at Coach Cork Invite
Athletes from Crawford County won nearly half of the events at this year's Coach Cork Invitational in Robinson (April 22), but it was not enough for either local squad to bring home the hardware.

Robinson won four events and finished third in the nine-team field, while Palestine-Hutsonville won five events and came in fourth.

Maroons win five-team meet
Wins in a dozen events led Robinson High School's boys' track team to a win in a five-team meet on the RHS track Monday (April 29).

The Maroons racked up victories in 12 of the 18 events on their way to scoring 94 points to outdistance the rest of the field. Paris was second with 78 points, followed by Lawrenceville (39), Effingham (39) and Olney (23).

Maroons pull away from Lawrenceville for 11-3 LIC win
Nine runs in the span of two at-bats helped Robinson High School's baseball team erase an early deficit and stay perfect in Little Illini Conference play.

The Maroons also snapped a two-game losing skid with an 11-3 victory at Lawrenceville Monday (April 29).

A fast start and a strong finish led Oblong High School's softball team to a conference victory Monday (April 29).

The Lady Panthers grabbed an early lead and cruised to a 9-2 win over Martinsville in a Little Okaw Valley Conference Southeast Division contest.

Lady Maroons lose on walk-off in LIC game at Lawrenceville, 8-7
A see-saw affair swung back in the way of the home team late, which spelled doom for Robinson High School's softball team.

The Lady Maroons grabbed an early lead, only to lose it before rallying to tie the game in the top of the seventh, then losing on a walk-off hit in the bottom of the seventh for an 8-7 loss at Lawrenceville in Little Illini Conference play (April 29).

Tigers fall short to Cumberland, 3-2
Runs were hard to come by Monday (April 29), but the home team ended up with just enough to get the win, which was not good news for Hutsonville-Palestine's baseball team.

The Tigers dropped a pitcher's duel on the road at Cumberland, 3-2, in a Little Okaw Valley Conference Southeast Division contest.

Lady Maroons win Cumberland Invite
Make it four in a row for Robinson High School's girls' track team.

The Lady Maroons came into Friday (April 26)'s Cumberland Invitational as the three-time defending champions and were able to claim the title once again this year, as they rolled to a first-place finish.

Maroons finish 3rd at Newton Invitational
Strong efforts against strong competition netted solid results for Robinson High School's boys' track team at the annual Eagle Invitational in Newton Friday (April 26).

The Maroons won three events and fared well in several others on their way to racking up 59 points to finish third behind Olney (90) and Vandalia (63). Rounding out the field were Effingham St. Anthony (56), Mattoon (56), Charleston (45), Fairfield (45), Effingham (42), Teutopolis (33), Newton (29), Cowden-Herrick-Beecher City (28), Paris (21), Shelbyville (20), Red Hill (18), Altamont (15) and Lawrenceville (0).
