Lady Statesmen fall to VU
Sports Editor

What started out as a competitive match turned out to be anything but for Lincoln Trail College's volleyball team Tuesday night (Oct. 2).

The Lady Statesmen dropped their third straight match, falling to visiting Vincennes University in three sets, 22-25, 5-25, 15-25.

"After the first set, the girls lost all motivation to push to win," LTC head coach Dana Goodwin said. "It is so frustrating to see their potential one set and watch them give up the next."

Rachel Crumrin led LTC with five good serves, 25 good sets with 13 assists and two digs, while Mandi Alspach posted 12 spikes with nine kills. Linzy Lunsford totaled six good serves with one ace, 13 spikes with six kills and two digs, Jordan Christy contributed six good serves, 10 spikes with two kills and two digs and Baylee Baker recorded four good serves with one ace and 14 good sets with eight assists.
