Taking three of the top four spots led Robinson High School's boys' cross country team to a dominating win in a four-team meet at Paris Tuesday (Sept. 4).
The Maroons claimed three of the top four spots and placed four runners in the top 10 on their way to scoring 28 points to win the meet. Olney finished second with 37 points, followed by Cumberland (61) and Paris (84).
Negus Bogard led the way for RHS, winning the race with a time of 16:32, while Wyatt Bonnell finished second in 17:37. Maverick Wright came in fourth in 17:49, Koty Amdahl was ninth in 18:34 and Parker Middleton also scored with a 12th-place effort in 19:13.
In the girls' meet, Robinson finished third with a score 58, while Olney cruised to the win with 19 points and Paris was second with 43. Cumberland did not have enough runners to post a team score.
Sami Johnson led RHS with a fifth-place finish in 23:52, while Kady Kamp finished 16th in 27:00. Also for the Lady Maroons, Mallory Clark was 22nd (28:26), Julia Gallion was 23rd (28:30) and Kaitlyn Stephens was 33rd (37:23).
Olney's Cameron Hough won the race with a time of 21:59.
