LTC's Enechionyia signs with Rollins College
Sports Editor

Finding the right fit can be just as important as anything else when choosing which college to continue your athletic career at and Lincoln Trail College's Chuchu Enechionyia appears to have done just that.

The 6-7 redshirt freshman has decided to continue his basketball career next season at Rollins College, a Division II school in Winter Park, Fla.

"I'm very excited," Enechionyia said in a press release provided by LTC. "It's a great school, a great location in Winter Park, Fla. I love the team and the coaches were awesome to me on my visit. I'm just really excited to go there."

During his one and only season at LTC, Enechionyia, who redshirted for a season at Virginia Military Institute before coming to Lincoln Trail, averaged 8.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists, just under one steal and half a block per game in 31 games for the Statesmen.

"After speaking with the coaches at Rollins, they feel like they're lucky because they got a steal with Chu," LTC head coach Luke Stuckey said. "He's a 6-7 guard who can play multiple positions. He shoots the ball really well, which is something Rollins likes to do. They attempt a lot of threes every game. They play at a very fast pace and they've been successful with it. He'll fit in well and they feel he's going to step in and play a major role right away."

Stuckey added Rollins is getting the total package with Enechionyia, as he will not only excel on the court, but off the court as well and is exactly what you want in a student-athlete.

""He's everything a coach could want," Stuckey said. "He's great in the classroom. He's a great teammate and his teammates love being around him. He practices hard every day. If you're check marking all the boxes you'd want for a student-athlete, Chu definitely checks all the boxes."
