RHS boys' tennis beats Charleston, 6-3
Sports Editor

The final score was the same, but the results were flipped for Robinson High School's boys' tennis team Tuesday (May 1).

A day after dropping a match 6-3, the Maroons responded by doubling up Charleston by that same score at the Washington Park courts.

"We played much better in singles, closing out the matches where we had the lead," RHS head coach Tom Buchanan said.

Robinson picked up wins in five of the six singles contests to clinch the match.

Winning for RHS were Kaden Buchanan at No. 1, Josh Rosborough at No. 2, Lukas Baird at No. 4, Lucas Blunier at No. 5 and Will Hawkins at No. 6.

"It was a big match for both Kaden and Josh at Nos. 1 and 2 singles and they both stepped way up for the challenge," Buchanan said. "They were in control of their matches from start to finish."

With the win already clinched, Robinson went with some different combinations for doubles and came out with just one win, as Baird and Blunier teamed up to win at No. 2.
