One game added up to two wins Tuesday night for Oblong's junior high girls' basketball teams at Martinsville.
Due to low numbers, Martinsville had to forfeit the seventh grade game, while Oblong rolled to a win in the eighth grade game, 47-10.
In the eighth grade game, Summer Johnson led OES (8-6) with eight points and three rebounds, while Paige Mendenhall netted eight points and one rebound. Nyah Laino posted seven points and three rebounds, Abbie Dart contributed six points and three rebounds, Samantha Johnson tossed in six points, Camryn Mendenhall collected four points and eight rebounds, Belle Kemp chipped in four points and two rebounds, Madison Neely added two points and four rebounds, Shyanna Chapman scored two points and Katelyn Leggitt grabbed four rebounds.
With the forfeit win, Oblong's seventh grade improved to 14-0 on the season and captured the first Little Eastern Illini Conference championship in program history with a 9-0 conference record.
Elsewhere, Robinson's junior high girls dropped a pair of games at Effingham, losing the eighth grade game 35-13 and the seventh grade game, 30-4.
In the eighth grade game, Daphne Phillippe and Kealie Jenkins led NMS with four points apiece, while Malia Gunn and Tess Krause each scored two and Shelby Bursott added one.
In the seventh grade game, Ashley Wells and Amber Hillard each scored two points for the Lady Raiders.
