Due to low numbers, Martinsville had to forfeit the seventh grade game, while Oblong rolled to a win in the eighth grade game, 47-10.

In the eighth grade game, Summer Johnson led OES (8-6) with eight points and three rebounds, while Paige Mendenhall netted eight points and one rebound. With the forfeit win, Oblong's seventh grade improved to 14-0 on the season and captured the first Little Eastern Illini Conference championship in program history with a 9-0 conference record.

Elsewhere, Robinson's junior high girls dropped a pair of games at Effingham, losing the eighth grade game 35-13 and the seventh grade game, 30-4.

In the eighth grade game, Daphne Phillippe and Kealie Jenkins led NMS with four points apiece, while Malia Gunn and Tess Krause each scored two and Shelby Bursott added one.
