Lincoln Trail College's men's basketball team is still searching for its first win in Great Rivers Athletic Conference play after falling on the road to Southwestern Illinois College, 83-72, in GRAC play at Belleville.

The Statesmen trailed just 15-13 midway through the first half, but were outscored 26-18 over the final 10 minutes of the half for a 41-31 deficit at halftime. Southwestern Illinois then used a 18-10 burst to start the second half to stretch their lead to 59-41, before LTC outscored SWIC 31-24 over the final 10 minutes, but it was not enough to come all the way back.

Southwestern Illinois also held a big advantage at the free throw line, as the Blue Storm made 22-33 foul shots (67 percent), while Lincoln Trail was just 13-20 at the charity stripe (65 percent).
