More holiday events planned
There is still plenty of holiday fun in store as Crawford County's countdown to Christmas continues.

The Palestine Eagles Auxiliary Community Christmas Party will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday for children up to 10 years old. There will be presents, snacks and a bike drawing for each age group. Santa will arrive at 2 p.m.

Robinson First Baptist Church, 301 S. Jefferson, will host its annual gingerbread house decorating day from 1 to 3:30 p.m. and from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Sign up online at fbcrobinson.com/gingerbread or call the church at 544-3214.

Santa also will be at Kringle Korner in Robinson taking Christmas requests from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and Dec. 21 and 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 22.

Meanwhile, school concerts continue throughout the county.

Washington Elementary School kindergartners will perform at Highland Church of Christ at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Lincoln Elementary School will host its annual fifth grade band concert at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Oblong High School band and choir concert is 7 p.m. Thursday at the school.

The Hutsonville High School Christmas program is 2 p.m. Sunday.

The Oblong junior high concert is 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at Oblong Elementary School.

Nuttall Middle School's annual concert is 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17.

The Hutsonville Elementary School concert is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Oblong Elementary School concerts, featuring students in grades five and down, are 9 and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at OES.

Palestine High School will host a student art show at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18. It will be followed by the Palestine Unit 3 band concert at 6 p.m.

The Palestine Grade School Christmas program is 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19.

The Robinson Senior Center will host a Christmas concert with the Senior Singers at 10 a.m. Thursday. Cookies and coffee will be available at 9:45 a.m.

The Senior Singers will also perform at the Oblong Senior Center at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19. Children from Kid's Kingdom Daycare will visit at 9:15 and cookies and coffee will be available at 9:45 a.m.
