The Robinson High School Colorguard will once again be hosting its biennial Formal Dress Consignment Sale Saturday.
"Anyone and everyone is invited to come to sell or shop for dresses," an organizer said. "It's a great time for students to clear out their closets and make some money or find the perfect dress for homecoming, winter formals, prom, or graduation."
Admission is $1 for buyers. Shopping will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a full array of dresses in all sizes, colors, and styles for any formal event. Dresses start as low as $20. Most dresses are gently used, or worn only once, while some have never been worn at all and are still new with tags on them.
There will be dressing rooms and a photo op area. People come to shop for all sorts of occasions from formal events to Halloween costumes.
For those who would like to make an offer on an item, Colorguard members will call the seller and do so.
Be prepared to pay via cash or check.
For sellers, dress drop-off will be Friday from 3 to 5:30 p.m. and again Saturday, Sept. 1, from 8 to 9 a.m. $10 to consign up to 5 dresses, $3 for each additional dress, $5 to consign unlimited shoes and accessories. You list the price you would like to sell your items for and you receive the total profit if that item sells. Dress and/or money pick up will take place on Saturday Sept. 1 from 3 to 4 p.m.
