Robinson Unit 2 school board members hired four new teachers during a special meeting Wednesday.
Most of the meeting was in closed session to discuss upcoming contract negotiations with the Community Unit Two Education Association. The board did act on hirings and several other personnel matters in open session, however.
Terry Inboden was hired as a Lincoln Elementary School third grade teacher, taking the position previously filled by Beth Rynke. Kristine Tuel was hired as an LES fourth grade teacher, replacing the retired Karen Laflin.
Lori Althoff and Ashley Stafford were hired as language art teachers at Nuttall Middle School, replacing the retired Lynne Roche and Kate Maurer, who recently resigned.
Also, Michele Elliott and Kim Weber were hired as part-time school nurses. They take the place of the recently-retired Susan Inboden.
Angela Langley was promoted to transportation coordinator. She takes over from the retired Penny York.
Resignations were accepted from LES Title I reading aide Stacey Pinkstaff and NMS eighth grade team leader Diana Thompson.
A leave of absence was approved for Robinson High School family consumer science teacher Candice Henton, effective from about Aug. 18 to Sept. 29.
