Bicentennial event timely, informative
Editor:

Saturday, Nov. 12, we attended a very timely and informative birthday party in the Robinson Community Center. The occasion was the Crawford County Historical Society celebrating the 200th birthday of our own Crawford County.

Billingsly was 'driving force' for event
This letter is to correct the caption under the picture of the cake cutting at the Crawford County 200th birthday party (Daily News, Nov. 14). Mary Jo Billingsly did not "help" organize the event; the party was totally her idea and she was the driving force in making it happen.

Hutsonville Tigers 'roared' to honor veterans
Editor:

Hutsonville schools are to be commended for their Veterans Day activities. As persons entered the small town of Hutsonville, you were greeted by American flags from the city limits to the bridge. They had been placed by students of HHS. Most students in Unit 1 participated in some way to honor our vets.

In this election, don't vote too early
Editor:

Many people like to vote early to eliminate the last-minute rush, or to preclude something happening which would stop them from going to the polls on Election Day. In theory this is a great idea, but there are some perils that folks should think about. The greatest is that by voting too early some may not have all the information they need to make a final judgement.

Intersection not bad if you're careful
Editor:

I came to Robinson in 1984 and travel the Country Club/Prison Road-1A intersection (letter to the editor, Aug. 29 Daily News) at least once a week. True,it is an angling intersection. The roadway is wide at the intersection and it is easy to square up to 1A. Doing this allows you to see in both directions with ease. A full stop and patience will let you proceed safely.
