She's lovable, but not yours

I am writing you in hopes that maybe your readers will read this and help. Maybe the one "responsible" will step up and do the right thing. My parents "lost" their female miniature schnauzer June 28 - early morning June 29. The photo was placed in the Daily News with a reward for $250. She is still missing and at this point we "know" someone has her. So I would like to address that person, and also address the ones who may know that she's with that person.

My dad lost his best friend the day you took Kaitlyn. We have seen our dad an emotional mess. Lack of sleep, weight loss and his nerves a mess! We all worry if she's okay! Did you know Kaitlyn has a few medical conditions that require medical care and medicine? Did you know she's due for her shots? Her hair is now due to be groomed. These are all things my parents made sure was done on time! Did you know she has to have special food or she gets deathly sick? Do you even care her little three-year-old friend (my daughter) misses her badly? Is this fair to the dog to keep her away from everyone who raised her and loves her?

We know she's cute, friendly, lovable - but she's not yours. She has a home. Maybe you thought she was a stray - you're wrong. She was in her yard! At this point you're a "dog thief." We won't stop looking ever! Do the right thing. Return her! Call 544-4253 and tell us where we can pick her up at. My parents are miserable without her. If you don't want us to face you, face to face, then take her to the Humane Society and we will pick her up there.

We thank everyone who has looked for her and still looking. The reward is still $250, for any information on her safe return. Please, return Kaitlyn. We are all lost without her. Please - everyone keep looking - call us with any leads - or if you see her. And to the one who has her, God sees all - I feel for you on judgement day.
