Statesmen pull away from Lake Land, 86-73
Solid play from start to finish kept Lincoln Trail College's men's basketball team unbeaten on the young season and earned the Statesmen a conference victory in the process.

The Statesmen played well early, then fell behind at halftime, only to put together a huge second half to pull away from visiting Lake Land College for an 86-73 win in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference opener for both teams (Nov. 14).

"It feels great to start (league play) with a win," LTC head coach Luke Stuckey said. "This was a really important win for our team. To not only win our first region game, but to win at home and defend our home court is huge for us."
