Unit 2 to make case for local support at IASB convention
Robinson Unit 2 will show its support for increased local control of Illinois schools during the upcoming Illinois Association of School Boards convention.

"Local control is the key," board president Dennis Inboden said during a discussion Monday of resolutions the IASB will vote on during the annual event, Nov. 16-18 in Chicago.

Unit 3 board discusses education 'hall of fame'
Can you name one teacher or school staff member who had an impact on your life? That was a question Palestine Unit 3 Superintendent Chris Long asked the Palestine School Board and those in attendance at Monday night's meeting.

"Every student has had that one teacher or educator throughout their career that was a difference maker," Long said.

NMS XC girls 8th, boys 15th at state
A history making season came to an end with yet another milestone for Nuttall Middle School's cross country teams.

Both NMS teams competed at the IESA Class 2A State Finals at Maxwell Park in Normal Saturday (Oct. 13) and fared well.
