'Abnormally dry' conditions in parts of county
Dry, hot weather has helped farmers in Crawford County and other parts of Illinois catch up on planting and other fieldwork.

Despite periods of rain last week, soybean planting neared completion and farmers made good progress on harvesting wheat.

Politicians lose 'common sense' on guns

I keep hearing politicians talk about wanting more gun laws. "Common-sense gun laws" that is. The question might be common sense in who's opinion. They also talk about laws that reflect "our values."

Robinson has six make All-LIC teams
A half-dozen Robinson High School athletes were recognized recently for their achievements on the diamond this past season, as they were named to the All-Little Illini Conference baseball and softball teams.
